- Design and manage VMware network solutions like NSX, vSphere, and Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC).
- Configure advanced networking features including micro-segmentation, distributed routing, and load balancing.
- Automate network provisioning and management using tools such as vRealize Automation.
- Ensure optimal network performance and security within VMware environments.
- Implement and manage VMware security solutions, including NSX Advanced Security, Workspace ONE Access, and Carbon Black Cloud.
- Harden VMware infrastructure to protect against vulnerabilities and security threats.
- Respond to security incidents, investigating suspicious activities to identify root causes.
- Assist with migration discovery, planning, and execution, ensuring seamless network transitions.
- Stay current with the latest VMware networking and security technologies and practices.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts and VMware networking and security solutions (NSX, vSphere, etc.).
- Proven experience in network infrastructure design, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Expertise in configuring and managing network security solutions and responding to security incidents.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- VMware certifications such as VCP-NV, VCIX-NV, NSX-T Specialist are highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. X-T Specialist.
