- Minimum bachelor's degree in Engineering or Safety
- Minimum 15 years experience in refinery or petrochemical plant environment health and safety
- Strong supervisory background with sound practical experience in multi national culture.
- English proficiency: Fluent in both speaking and writing
- Develop & Implement environment, health and safety policies and procedures at the project
- Managing the operational compliance of EHS responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety, risk and training systems
- Promote EHS performance improvement
- Liasing with mine and refinery management regarding environment, health & safety initiatives and concerns
- Conducting audits and incident investigations
- Lead the investigations of serious accidents or incidents having the potential for serious consequences, facilitate root cause analysis evaluation.
- Audit contractor compliance, training, and record keeping
- Coordinate the implementation of any contractor safety programs
- Participate in the review and approval of safety health and environmental action plans and attend pre-bid and pre-job conferences
- Coordination and supervision of EHS activities on site
- Lead, develop and monitor performance of the mine and refinery EHS team
- Provide guidance and training in EHS matters to client management.
