Job Description and RequirementsResponsibilities: * Extract accurate quantities of materials and components for construction projects using and not limited to Plan Swift and AutoCAD software.
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs using industry-standard software, ensuring precision and reliability in measurements.
  • Administration of Contract procedures, knowledge of FIDIC is required.
  • Evaluation of Variations and Claims submitted by Contractors.
  • Develop comprehensive reports and documentation detailing material quantities, cost estimates, and bill of quantities.
  • Collaborate with project managers to analyze project requirements, budgets, and timelines, providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Implement efficient reporting systems to track project progress, expenditures, and variances against budgeted costs.
  • Monitor and analyze cost data throughout the project lifecycle, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports for stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, cost forecasts, and potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards in all quantity surveying activities.
  • Provide support during procurement processes, including tender evaluation and contract administration.
  • Understanding construction execution activities is a must.
  • Skill in assessing and managing the impact of changes on manpower requirements, negotiating adjustments as needed.
  • Fluency in English is required and Arabic would be preferred
Qualifications:
  • Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in surveying, Building/Construction or Civil.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in the Middle East is essential, with a preference for experience within a PM/Consultancy Firm, handling Construction projects.
  • Proficiency in English communication (verbal/written) is a must and knowledge of Arabic language would be considered as an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and Plan swift is a prerequisite.
  • Knowledge of BIM is considered as an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in other QS software, planning software such as Primavera P6 would be considered as an advantage.
