Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide projects and design management support to the Principal Project EngineerWhat You'll Be Doing:Develops the scope of work for design tasks in coordination with the Technical Support Section (TSS) and stakeholders. Coordinates for review, preparation and issuance of Task Orders including review of A/Es technical and commercial proposalsManages overall design from concept, design development and construction documents. Works closely with the A/Es and reviewers, provide necessary coordination for data acquisition, and 3rd party reviews. Conducts design review meetings.Assists in coordinating the compilation of technical portions of Requests for Proposal (RFP) for both the design and construction portions of assigned projects. Analyzes data pertaining to client requirements to assist in the definition of technical aspects of detailed scope of work.Coordinates with Technical Support Section (TSS) for the development of design specifications, and ensures adequate information is provided for clarity of interpretation of required scope of work.Participate in the technical evaluation of potential bidders for contracts on assigned projects, and in recommending shortlists of qualified contractors. Coordinates the technical analysis and evaluation of bids proposed.Assist in compiling technical portions of definitive contracts.Monitors technical progress of A/E contractor. Coordinates the review of design drawings, specifications, manuals, shop drawings, vendor data, calculations and other technical information submitted by the A/E contractor for all phases of contract.Provides requested technical information to A/E or construction contractor regarding interpretation of specifications, and other technical guidance as required. Requests technical information or clarification of submitted data from A/E construction contractor as required.Prepares report and presentations on assigned projects. Coordinate with Project Management Department progress reporting and evaluation for the assigned projectsProvide input to the RC Authorized Representative in review of quarterly performance evaluation for the A/E.Provide technical support during pre-award stage including but not limited to Bidders Q&As, addendums, bid evaluation, release of final IFC drawings etc.Provide post-award support during constructionFunctions as a technical expert in performing analysis in specialized area.Reviews problem areas, recommends solutions, alternatives and improvements.Conducts reviews on technical provisions of work and prepares special technical reports.Prepares interface layouts and conflicts solutions.Prepares technical correspondence, reports, and studies.Perform field inspections and provide field support.Assist in the preparation master planning in the creation of capital improvement projects and verifying the capacity of existing utility systems and establishing new ones.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Refer to Job Description for Education and Experience RequirementsCandidate should have Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.Professional Registration as an Engineer preferred or, at least, be working towards achieving this.8 years of directly related experience to the position specifically in project management of electrical design work activities.Extensive knowledge of design and installation of electrical systems, Low and Mid Voltages.PMP certificate beneficial, but not mandatoryStrong familiarity with the Engineering design processes as well as Construction and Project Management. Adequate knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines.Experience with overseeing planning and design of infrastructure and facilities.Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering as related to the preparation of plans and specifications. Knowledge of methods and techniques utilized in the design and construction of public works and utility projectsStrong background of electrical project management and supervisory assignments in scheduling, project acceptance, planning, budgeting, procurement and feasibility studies.Candidate should have excellency ability to read, analyze and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing English Language.Proven ability to perform project management role through knowledge of industry practices and regulation.Must be fully aware of the current industry technology.Ability to proficiently perform duties in accordance with the job description for the Electrical Engineer role.Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
