Job Description:Parsons is seeking an AWACS Airborne Radar Maintenance Technician with knowledge of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) E-3 AWACS radar system. The AWACS Radar Engineer will be part of the Contractor Engineering and Technical Support team in support of a U.S. Air Force Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.What You'll Be Doing:Advising and assisting the RSAF in all aspects of airborne radar operations and maintenanceInspection of all Airborne Radar equipment and support equipment for availability and serviceabilityEvaluation of maintenance personnel work to ensure compliance with technical data and conformance to prescribed standards of quality and safetyAnalysis of radar system performanceSupervision of Radar Section personnel to include preflight activities thru-flight Quality Verification Inspection in aircraftInterpretation of local maintenance procedures and technical publications applicable to installation and repair of airborne and Information Friend or Foe (IFF) systemsRemoval, repair and replacement of systems components, such as antennas, receivers, transmitters, and radar data correlatorsMaintenance and repair or modification of radar systemsPreparation of all maintenance forms related to Radar Section activitiesMaintenance of tool kits and maintenance equipmentReview and evaluation of Quality Reports and implementation of corrective actionsDevelopment of correspondence to all organizations to accomplish work requirementsDesign and development of training material and conduct of training, including OJT IAW the RSAF Structured OJT Program RSAF 105 Series ManualsPerformance of other Airborne Radar support tasks as assignedWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering, Radar Engineer, or equivalent.Fifteen (15) years of experience with the E-3 (AWACS) Surveillance Radar, IFF and associated support systems.Must be knowledgeable on the E-3 Surveillance Radar and IFF fault detection troubleshooting and repair.AWACs maintenance certsSystem diagnostic experienceMust have an advanced course certification on the E-3 (AWACS) Surveillance Radar, IFF and associated support systems.Knowledge of RSAF technical terminologies, task and responsibilities is desirable.Must be able to develop training syllabuses that include theory of operation, troubleshooting and repair of the E-3 (AWACS) Surveillance Radar, IFF and associated support systems.
