- Provide support to manage Tourism & Heritage inspections activities with regulatory mechanisms and coordinate all compliance and enforcement activities
- Plan pro-active inspections to ensure on-going compliance with standards and codes.
- Review and provide input into strategic plans and ensure the alignment of his unit to the department plans, objectives, and vision.
- Advise to ensure compliance monitoring and enforcement activities are implemented equitably and without favour or prejudice
- Oversee the development and implementation of regulation tools and processes.
- Serve as a contact point for any external queries or appeals regarding compliance and enforcement decisions related to his unit.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with local and regulations and standards related to tourism, entertainment, and heritage and ensure that all activities adhere to these regulations.
- Develop inspection schedules for tourism and heritage facilities based on risk assessments,
- historical compliance data
- Generate comprehensive inspection reports with clear recommendations for improvements or compliance measures.
- Compliance Assistance: Offer guidance and support to tourism facilities & heritage sites operators to help them understand and implement necessary changes to meet regulatory requirements.
