- Lead the design and planning of railway track layouts, alignments, and configurations.
- Ensure that track designs comply with regulatory requirements, engineering standards, and project specifications.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance during track construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Monitor construction progress, quality, and safety to ensure compliance with design and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement quality assurance and control measures for track works.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on track-related matters, including materials, construction methods, and maintenance practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Manage track works budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Monitor expenditures and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and consultants.
- Coordinate with railway operators and other project teams to address interdependencies and ensure seamless integration.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to track works activities.
- Prepare progress reports, technical memos, and presentations for project stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in railway track works, including design, construction, and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of railway track design principles, standards, and regulations.
- Strong understanding of track construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for track design and analysis.
- Professional engineering license or certification.
- Experience working on railway infrastructure projects of varying scales and complexity.
