- Civil and structural expertise
- Provide guidance, advice and support as deemed necessary to the EPC/OEM Contractor in order to ensure that the completed installation meets with the contract specifications
- Check civil work procedures, specifications, methods, and standards elaborated by the EPC/OEM Contractor
- Review all construction and engineering documents regarding civil and structural works or any other required technical information before the works begin
- Support and assist with the development and implementation of corrective action recommendations.
- Collaborate and coordinate with Owners Engineering.
- Attend Civil discipline meetings
- Assist the Construction Manager with project stakeholders interface and relations.
- Monitoring the progress of the project
- Supervise the onsite civil and structural construction activities, including health and safety, within the established company guidelines.
- Perform on-site visits to check compliance of civil and structural works with contract specifications
- Oversee the planning and coordination of all site contract scope of work construction activities.
- Ensure the implementation of external regulatory controls and safety installations
- Conduct meetings at the job site to improve project communications and reduce interferences.
- Participate in the monthly and weekly project meetings with the EPC
- Monitor and review progress against agreed schedule.
- Ensure EPC/OEM civil and structural works are compliant within the HSE requirements set forth in the HSE plan.
- Ensure the Implementation of the Project Construction Execution Plan.
- Reporting
- Provide feedback for any civil issues arising for any matters affecting the EPC/OEM's quality, performance, planning, etc.
- Provide feedback to Construction Manager as well as other member of the team, HSE Manager for any situation affecting the EPC/OEM's or Subcontractor's civil works and the QA/QC Manager for any situation affecting the quality of the works.
- Provide necessary reports to follow the correct execution of the job, the progress of the works and the encountered difficulties.
- Provide timely and accurate input to the monthly and weekly reports.
- Provide the SOR to the HSE Manager on weekly basis.
- Civil Engineer with University Degree from an accredited University
- Minimum experience requirements is 10 years in a similar role preferably in the power industry, for Civil & Structural Engineer #1. For Civil & Structural Engineer #2 & #3, minimum experience is 5 years in the same domain.
