  • Executes / supervises and administers projects, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, authority requirements, zoning and applicable codes and design and construction specifications;
  • Reviews engineering details as and when required for the execution of works.
  • Ensure that the design engineers design intent is delivered by the contractor and is responsible for dealing with any on-site design problems that arise.
  • Addresses modifications desired by the Client in co-ordination with the Design Engineer.
  • Assists the Project Lead in review and selection of materials and equipment that are in compliance with approved material submittals.
  • Support the project lead to issue engineering correspondences.
  • Highlights any violations to construction / engineering related issues on site through issuance of NCRS
  • Attends progress review meetings and co-ordination meetings to assist the Project Lead in resolving any site issues such as discrepancies in project’s drawings.
  • Participates in the coordination and monitoring of snagging and project handover
  • Provides support to Project Manager/team leader to ensure projects run smoothly by providing expert knowledge and advice.
  • Liaises with the Design Engineer on modifications required.
  • Gives daily site reports and highlights issues that arise on site to the Project Lead.
Qualifications
  • A relevant engineering degree from a recognized Institution.
  • Minimum of 15 years overall relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience in similar projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years regional experience.
