- Oversee a team - developing, managing, and leading their day-to-day responsibilities
- Set the seasonal buying strategy to continue to grow the business
- Analyze business metrics and industry trends to find opportunities for future assortments
- Manage sales and profitability, gross margins through negotiation with vendors
- Manage the buy of a variety of brands and products for The visitor
- Develop and manage relevant vendor relationships, as well as relationships across the company channels
- Identify opportunities and risks in-season through analyzing sales performance
- Actively build out the vendor matrix
- Background in beauty buying or beauty category management.
- Strategic and be able to execute
- Possess a strong analytical mindset and are comfortable juggling multiple tasks while meeting hard deadlines.
- Are self-motivated, deadline driven and result oriented, a problem solver with a can-do attitude with strong teamwork skills and strong desire to drive changes.
- Are highly skilled in MS Excel (pivot tables, etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze data sets and build reports.
- Ability to dig into details and find impactful insights
- Strong verbal and written communication skills able to clearly tell the story behind the data and its resulting insights
- Ability to interact effectively with management
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for achievement
- Ability to prioritize and work in a highly dynamic, fast paced and team-oriented environment
