manufacturing activities, ensuring alignment with program schedules and material
availability, and managing the efficiency of the shipyard's production. Additionally,
developing the annual budget, conducting quarterly reviews of plant hours, and planning
integrated production by order, while utilizing company IT infrastructure for effective
production management.Strategic Responsibilities
  • Align section goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives.
  • Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff;
planning and evaluating organizational unit activities. * Define objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course ofaction, and evaluates outcomes. * Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annualbudget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. * Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.Managerial Responsibilities
  • Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
  • Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
  • Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives
efficiently. * Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.
  • Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and
negotiate business related issues to senior management. * Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job resultsFunctional Responsibilities
  • Manage the development of work orders based on the detailed information received from CI & Methods pertaining to Production Engineering and the specific production targets/goals for different sections.
  • Manage the feasibility analysis of the production volume and develop the initial Work Order Compensation Plan and breaking down the factory production service hours by workshop, in collaboration with the Work Preparation Organizational Units, Technical Assistance to Production and Production Centers, taking into account the capacity of the construction site.
  • Manage the analysis during construction, the causes of any deviations of the activities from the programs and values of the Compensation Plan promoting appropriate corrective interventions at the various functions involved and updating the Programs and the Coupon Plan in the ERP.
  • Manage the costs of Changes and NCs (Non-Conformities) and supervising the related analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with Shipyard and the Program Management Team, Design & Engineering, and Procurement & Supply Chain in order to update monthly Ship Sheet, including cycles, internal contingency, external contingency, and loss of productivity, while utilizing historical data from past constructions, and addressing specific critical issues reported.
  • Create the yearly project and plant budget, incorporating quarterly forecasts as needed.
  • Manage the processing of monthly balance sheets and internal labor hours in alignment with the work orders and the internal and external procurement plan.
  • Provide weekly reports on both internal and external labor hours.
  • Manage the processing of monthly and half-yearly Shipyard order data, as well as
production and productivity metrics. * Ensure the alignment of productivity outcomes with the expenditure values per manhour for a given order.
  • Process monthly/half-yearly Shipyards order and production/productivity data
  • Coordinate the collection of forecast and final data from the various Shipyard units for the compilation of the Production Progress Report.
  • Verify the registration and finalization of contract progress in ERP.
  • Oversee the progression of the SOP (State of Progress) workflow, which involves
receiving items from the supplier, obtaining necessary approvals, generating evidence, sending to the supplier for invoicing, and transmitting the information to the ERP system. * Manage the unlocking of event certifications by facilitating the verification and approval processes, ensuring that milestones or completed tasks are officially certified and documented in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure proper assistance to the Organizational Units responsible for work preparation in the development and management of the detailed programs of the
Centers/Workshops, in compliance with the timing and services of the ships. * Manage the update of shipyard's standard operational reporting, incorporatingadditional key performance indicators and ensuring user-friendly accessibility. * Manage outstanding procurement RFQs through a proactive system that provides real time updates and streamlines the procurement process.
  • Check subcontract authorizations for compliance, enriching the review process with a checklist and enhancing reports related to company entry into the Shipyard.
  • Manage supplier evaluation scorecard data into the system, enriching it with additional performance indicators and qualitative feedback.
  • Ensure the alignment of the programming and planning of the Shipyards workloads in coherence with the general plan of orders, intervening with the Program Management for documents.
  • Oversee the programming and planning of the shipyard's activities, while ensuring
consistency between the general order programs provided by the Program Management and the production capacities of the shipyard. * Optimize the use of resources to meet production targets and transmit overarching time and cost objectives.
  • Ensure the regular assessment of programmatic and economic advancements of
Shipyard activities in comparison to committed undertakings and accordingly devise corrective measures, if needed. * Manage the evaluation of the need for third-party involvement to expedite progress or address specific challenges and issue relevant Work Orders to authorize and guide third party contributions, ensuring clear directives and alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure sufficient monitoring and control of the activities progress activities related to exceptional and turnkey contracts.
  • Oversee the checking and quantifying of the technical Progress Status, internal
activities, exceptional contracts and turnkey supplies, in cooperation with the
Production Centers/Workshops. * Supervise internal manpower activities associated with order fulfillment and ensure that internal teams are adequately assigned and equipped to meet the requirements of each order.
  • Ensure the efficient distribution of Shipyard resources according to workloads in
collaboration with the Production Centers and Trade Resources Management. * Collaborate in addressing anomalies detected under warranty, ensuring compliance with warranty terms and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure sufficient assistance is provided for production units in resolving remarks, defects, and other issues, fostering a smooth workflow and maintaining product quality.
  • Administer and manage charges or fines, if applicable, associated with specific
operational or contractual aspects. * Manage the handling of materials supply management in the Self-Service warehouse, ensuring availability and proper distribution.
  • Manage authorizations for area access, controlling permissions and ensuring only
authorized personnel have access as needed. * Manage the development of detailed programs of the Workshops' activities (directlabor, exceptional contracts, turnkey orders) and check progress on a weekly basis. * Ensure efficient monitoring of workshop activities to identify any deviations from the established programs and report the identified deviations to the Program Management. Oversee preparatory MRP simulations to forecast and plan material requirements for upcoming production activities.
  • Manage production activities based on the MRP simulations, ensuring alignment with the established program.
  • Ensure any deficiencies in stock materials are identified through MRP simulations and promptly manage the replenishment process.
  • Work closely with the team responsible for warehousing to coordinate and oversee the timely replenishment of materials to meet production needs.
  • Participate in periodic Pallet Meetings with Development, for the verification of the
issuing and launch programs of the activities and for the development of appropriate reprogramming. * Manage the analysis of construction drawings and assembly plans using the NTP tables (new estimate tables).
  • Ensure the correct entry of all the technical data into the system necessary for the
evaluation of Work Order relating to Minor Orders. * Manage Event Sheets outlining the entire process of acquiring turnkey supplies and implementing assembly programs.
  • Manage RFQs for materials , forecast and for unexpected production or specific
shortages.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or any other similar field.
  • Above 9 years of experience in related field including 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or any other similar field.
