With a collective strength of 10 brands, we have more than 200 million monthly users that trust in our dedication to providing them with the best platform for their needs.As the Analytics Manager, you will be in a central position as you will be evangelising data and our methodologies to other functional analysts and other stakeholders in the company. You will own the governance of our BI dashboards and reporting. You will have close interaction with teams in marketing, sales, finance, and product. You will work in a high pace environment that is professional, international and entrepreneurial.In this role you will:
  • Set up the Department and local infrastructure while managing a team;
  • Accessing data, constructing and manipulating large datasets to support planned analyses, using SQL,
  • Python and similar tools
  • Designing and developing BI dashboards using Sisense or similar tools (Tableau, PowerBI, DataStudio) for various organizational metrics and indicators using best practices and industry standards in finance, sales, inventory, and other areas
  • Conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Ownership of allocated work throughout its entire life cycle.
  • Define KPIs metrics and drive the data governance through standardisation and communication
  • Create the documentation and presentation for the management
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings while management of reconciliation and reporting
  • Research and validation of entity data using appropriate internal and external data sources
  • Validating entity reference data in a central account database
  • Liaising and analysis across projects within the Reference Data environment
  • Analysis, specification, testing and implementation of interfaces, workflow solutions, and reference data solutions – An example would be regression testing systems ahead of upgrades
  • Develop new models to address business needs, as well as identify and implement improvements to existing solutions; projects are diverse and can take several forms (e.g. simulation, linear/non-linear
  • optimization, prediction, machine learning)
  • Drive the design, implementation and interpretation of experiments/trials for continuous refinement of on-going strategies
  • Create and maintain documentation for analytics, tools, and processes to ensure effective transition to end user
  • Create and deliver training sessions to technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Continually research current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed
  • Responsible for data quality and timely delivery of reports that make common business sense
  • Responsible cost and efficiency of the technical solution
  • Proactively engaging with the manager and other team members about progression of current sprint and roadmap
  • Develops the careers of the team members, give feedback and manage performances
  • Project manage medium size cross functional project, set the right level of expectation with
  • Stakeholders and deliver within agreed timeline
  • Accountable for having at all times at least two team members which have knowledge of critical components at all time
  • Run sprint planning and maintain Data Analytics Roadmap
  • Accountable for all servers and databases have a backup and Data Privacy and Security is maintained (including organising credentials in Lastpass)
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field. Master’s degree in a similar field is a plus.
  • 4+ year of experience as a people manager, with 6+ year work experience in analytics, having closely worked with product and commercials in an internet/e-commerce company;
  • Experience building, implementing and/or maintaining predictive models on very large datasets;
  • Experience in enabling stakeholders to become data-driven
  • Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Python, R or similar tools is preferable
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate data and information into actionable insights and business recommendations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional Storytelling, project management skills, and attention to detail
