CAD Division Head

• Selection and deployment of engineering software tools for successful projects to ensure their effective and efficient utilization.
• Preparation of engineering software and hardware lists and comparison tables.
• Management of CAD division resources according to project requirements.
• Preparation of CAD and other software strategies for the Engineering department.
• Responsibility for ERP and CAD system interfaces.
• Establishment of a training plan and ensuring CAD and software training is conducted for the Engineering department.
• Management of the CAD library, CAD Catalogues & Specifications.
• Oversight of the development of process maps, rules, procedures, practices, and guidelines for the CAD division.
• Ensuring the quality and accuracy of CAD design drawings/formats for all disciplines.
• Ensuring all soft files are systematically stored and backed up in drives as per the IT departments policies and procedures.
• Establishment and enforcement of engineering standard drawings.
• Support in Bids & Estimation.
• Contribution to the professional development of employees by providing training and mentoring.
• Ensuring compliance with HSE policies and procedures as applicable.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.

• Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent.
• At least 9-15 years of experience in any engineering company leading CAD teams for newbuild marine/offshore or similar projects. Preference will be given to those who have worked in ship and rig building yards, major construction yards, EPC contractors, and/or Consultant Companies using AVEVA 3D modeling software.
• Preferred Any additional certification/training on 3D CAD tools and system administration.
• Extensive knowledge in multidiscipline design and drafting (CAD) activities for rig building/shipbuilding/offshore/onshore projects.
• Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD software systems such as AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, AVEVA Marine.
• Proven experience in leading CAD teams.
• Ability to check and identify discrepancies.
• Knowledge of ERP and its interfacing with CAD systems.
• Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
• Demonstrated high-order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others regarding continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in English (mandatory), Arabic or other languages (desirable).
