- Conduct thorough inspections of structural components, including but not limited to steel structures, piping, vessels, and associated equipment, to ensure compliance with Aramco standards and project requirements.
- Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and procedures to ensure understanding of quality requirements.
- Monitor and review the fabrication and installation activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Document inspection findings accurately and maintain comprehensive records of all quality control activities.
- Participate in quality control meetings and provide input to resolve any quality-related issues.
- Conduct pre-inspection meetings with contractors and subcontractors to communicate quality requirements and expectations.
- Identify and report any deviations from quality standards or specifications and collaborate with project stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and client representatives as necessary.
- Provide support during audits and assessments conducted by regulatory authorities or clients.
- Mentor junior inspectors and provide guidance on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Aramco approval for structural inspection is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural quality control inspection within the oil and gas industry.
- Thorough understanding of Aramco standards, codes, and specifications relevant to structural fabrication and installation.
- Proficiency in conducting various types of inspections, including visual inspection, dimensional checks, and NDT methods (e.g., UT, PT, MT).
- Strong knowledge of welding processes and inspection techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.
- Certification in relevant NDT methods (e.g., ASNT Level II or III) is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline is desirable but not mandatory.
