Registered Midwife (Hindi or European Language Speaker)

• Conduct prenatal assessments, including physical examinations, health history reviews, and diagnostic tests, to monitor the progress of pregnancy and identify any potential complications.

• Provide counseling and support to expectant mothers and their families regarding prenatal care, childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care.

• Assist with childbirth by monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, providing pain management techniques, and offering emotional support during labor and delivery.

• Perform newborn assessments, including APGAR scoring, vital sign monitoring, and initial feeding support, to ensure the health and well-being of the infant.

• Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including breastfeeding assistance, maternal recovery monitoring, and newborn screening tests.

• Educate new parents on infant care, breastfeeding techniques, postpartum recovery, and contraception options to promote optimal maternal and infant health outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, pediatricians, and lactation consultants, to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and newborns.

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum care provided to patients.

• Stay current on developments in obstetrics, midwifery practices, and maternal-fetal medicine through continuing education and professional development activities.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery from an Accredited School of Nursing/University OR Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with additional Midwifery qualification.

• Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Clinical Nursing.

• 2 years experience as Registered Midwife

• Must be eligible to take the SCFHS exam.

• Preferably with valid SCFHS Nursing Specialist/Technician license/certificate.

• Current license as a professional registered nurse.

• Proficient in English
