- Estimate and budget project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Review and analyze project contracts and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost control strategies.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budget and identifying potential cost overruns.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, including cost forecasts and variances.
- Manage the procurement process, including preparing bid documents and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Provide guidance and support to junior QS and cost control engineers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project costs and related documentation.
- Utilize BIM-Revit software for quantity surveying and cost control tasks.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost control, specifically in landscape projects.
- Proficiency in BIM-Revit software.
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practices.
- Experience in preparing detailed quantity take-offs and bills of quantities.
- Ability to estimate and budget project costs accurately.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
