JOB PURPOSE:Partner with Site Leadership to develop and execute safety risk reduction plans and assure effective controls are inplace. Support the building of capacity in people, plant and process.RESPONSIBILITIES:Accountable for: Providing operational support and advice to site management and plant supervisors and personnel to ensure Occupational Safety (OS) standards are understood, implemented and maintainedMaintains OS systems, documentation and records and prepares OS reports including data verification, interpretation & recommendations.Assists with the development and execution of OS improvement plans and participates in improvement projectsParticipates in hazard analyses and incident investigations.Assists with facilitating OS awareness and training workshops and competence assessments.Participate in the development, review and improvement of OS procedures.Carries out OS inspections and audits and facilitates risk assessments in conjunction with plant personnel.Interprets and advises on OS regulatory and business standards.Maintain visible operational support and partners with site supervision and supervises contractor activities as requiredLiaises with OS regulators / stakeholdersParticipates in risk assessments and job reviews in order to assist in identifying and preventing HSE hazardsAssists in the coordination of OS inspections and follows up with departments to ensure corrective actions and improvement recommendations are implementedQUALIFICATIONS&EXPERINCE:B.S Degree In Occupational Safety or 5 years of experience.Degree preferred in Chemical Engineering, or other since discipline 5 years of experience.Diploma Degree with 10 years experience with Diploma5 years work experience in a manufacturing role.Certificate in Training and Assessment, Auditing and Incident Investigation.With approximately 6,500 employees across six continents, our rich diversity, unmatched vertical integration model, and unparalleled operational and technical expertise across the value chain, position Tronox as the preeminent titanium dioxide producer in the world.We're committed to our people, our customers, and our communities.
