1-Performs ultrasound examinations including uftrasonography of the abdomen, pelvis, obstetric & breast
2-Submit the images to the radiologist for discussion and reporting.
3-Call the radiologist for consultation during the examination in difficult cases.
4-Be responsible for correct identification of patients and site of examination.
5-Explain the procedure, initruct the patient in assuming physical position for examination.
6-Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to the organ to be examined.
7-Keys patient information into ultrasound equipment to maintain record of images.
8-Records the images on the machine and transfer it to PACS.
9-Responsible for recording the details of the patient to the logbook.
10-Keeps ultrasound rooms in a neat and orderly appearance at all times.
11-Assists radiologist in performing special procedures such as biopsy or drainage.
12-Be knowledgeable in all sterile techniques and nursing procedures necessary in the area of ultrasound
13-Responsible for knowing ell the hospital rules and necessary procedures and handling an emergency situation.QualificationsEducation: Be holder of appropriate radiographic/technological diploma/Bachelor degree with special training in ultrasonography.Experience: He or she must be in continuous good ultrasonography practice and should hold At least 2 years post-diploma experience.Language: Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferableRequired Licenses/Registrations:Saudi Commission for Health Specialties & Ministry of Health Saudi license.
