1-Proper identification of the patient and study type.
2-Preparation of the radioisotope needed for the study with adequate dose considering patient age and weight.
3-Prepare I.V. line for injectable isotopes.
4-Ensuring patient compliance with necessary instructions prior or during certain studies (e.g. avoidance of certain food types in 1-131 scan and adequate hydration in bone scan
5-Performing nuclear Medicine imaging.
6-Performing routine machines calibration and surveys.
7-Maintaining proper log books of radio-active materials and Tc generators as well as maintaining the radio-active waste room
8-Maintaining activites of the hot lab and report vailations to RSO and Chairperson of Department.
9-Ensuring continuous supply of materials and isotopes, and planning orders for replenishment in a timely manners.
10-Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as "the patient is the center of our care".
Other Job Functions:
1-Perform all duties and tasks in line with the Person Centered Care values.
2-Adherence to all policies, plans and programs within the Fakeeh Care.
3-Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the 1-1CM policies and guidelines.
4-Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration.
5-Maintain up to date knowledge on information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy management and document management systems.QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Be a holder of appropriate radiographic/technological diploma.
Experience: 2 years post-diploma experience
Language: Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable
Required Licenses/Registrations: Certified by the Saudi Council of Health Specialists as radiologic technician
